‘GOTTA GET OUT' NEW SINGLE OUT 10/1/21

“Gotta Get Out”,the psychedelic, swing-inflected debut solo single from British singer-songwriter Fox Fagan (TELESKOPES), is released Friday October 1, 2021.

From Los Angeles collaborations with Chris Shiflett (FOO FIGHTERS) and WILSON PHILLIPS to gigs in English seaside towns and Melbourne grunge clubs, the song draws on Fagan’s unique musical journey.

Written over one surreal, trippy day, its 3-part harmony and “TAME IMPALA" -inspired drums evoke Fagan’s striving to “get out of my own way” and produce art at the height of California’s lockdown.

“It has an orchestral vibe about it, especially in the choruses,” said Fagan.

“PINK FLOYD, POND, even a little bit of MY MORNING JACKET… This song sounds like me -- it sounds like my influences.”

Fagan, originally from Portsmouth, UK, is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter who lived in Melbourne, Australia before moving to Los Angeles.

Fagan is a member of TELESKOPES, the critically acclaimed Los Angeles-based "shoe-gazing space rock" group whose "expansive sound… abides the old saying 'go big or go home.'" (Buzzbands LA.)

“Gotta Get Out” is his first solo single, and has been featured on radio stations including Hawaii’s KMNO.

It charts the unique challenges of creating art in a pandemic, at a time when Fagan’s bandmates were scattered around the world, as he pushed himself to find new forms of expression.
