Teleskopes have announced the release of ‘For The Living (Lost & Found Vol. 1)’ out on Friday the 13th of August 2021.

The 4 track EP showcases the bands roots in Atmospheric Alt Rock, featuring early fan favourites “Release Your Mind”, “Hayling Island”, “Amber” and “Private Michael”.

“Private Michael”, their floor stomping rocker was lyrically inspired by the events of the “Dont Ask, Dont Tell” US military policy.

It starts off with Pelle Hillstrom’s signature guitar pedal layering that creates a backdrop for bass player/singer Fox Fagan’s thumping bass line before drummer Jesper Kristensen’s unapologetically commanding backbeat kicks in.

This collection of songs is the first batch of material that the band had ever written and recorded together captured at producer John Baxter’s garage in Studio City, California circa 2012. By the time it was finished Teleskopes had already moved on to the beginnings of their critically acclaimed debut Album ‘Stereocilia’ that was released in 2017 and decided to hold off on releasing those initial recordings.

“We took a long break from them, then came back and we were like; these trigger a lot of great memories and we’re still proud of this stuff. It was the early beginnings of what would become Teleskopes, why not release it and show people” says Pelle Hillstrom.

Out via Foxtone Records August 13 2021.
