Fox Fagan Releases “Never Fall In Love With A Stranger” For Streaming

Previously only available on 12” vinyl brown label print from Brooklyn Phono, the British born singer/songwriter turned producer has announced his debut 4 track EP from 2010 will be out across digital platforms on July 26, 2021.

The EP starts with the throwback pop single “Wouldn’t Change A Thing”, a catchy upbeat Billy Bragg inspired song that fearlessly tackles misdirected jealousy and paranoia when he asks “Why is my imagination, tuning in to the wrong station”, leading us into a joyful “da da da da” sing along chorus that enjoyed airplay on many college/non commercial radio stations across the U.S.

70’s AM pop radio number “Sheila”, echo’s the greats like Elvis Costello, and starts with a classic slapped out drum fill beginning a musical arrangement reminiscent of the Wrecking Crew era, with “Woah Oh Woah Oh Woah” choruses, all while being a touching memoir to his late grandmother.

The band behind the music all played live in the same room, and featured guitar player Pelle Hillstrom, drummer Jesper Kristensen, and bass player Mikkel Heimburger. Not long after this recording Fox, Pelle, and Jesper went on to form Alt Rock Shoe-gaze trio Teleskopes.
